Plot

The film follows the story of Rohit and his younger brother Amit, who are orphans living in Mumbai with their landlords Lily and Anthony. He meets Sonia Saxena, the daughter of wealthy Mr. Saxena, Malik’s friend, when he visits her to deliver the car her father brought for her birthday. They fall in love and are stranded on an island for a couple of days. Upon their return, they face opposition from their families due to their class differences. Rohit becomes successful as a singer and prepares to perform at a concert, but he witnesses corrupt policemen and Malik shooting and killing the police commissioner, who found out about their drug dealings. They discover Rohit’s presence and shoot at him, leading to his death. Sonia is sent to stay with her cousin in New Zealand, where she meets Raj Chopra, a billionaire NRI businessman who resembles Rohit. Raj helps Sonia cope with her loss and later decides to let her go, but upon learning her story, he accompanies her back to India, where he poses as Rohit to expose his killers.
